Keyboard and Mouse Skills

These days, using a keyboard and mouse is as important as writing. For that reason, we encourage you to let your children use laptops and PCs at home to further develop their keyboard and mouse skills. Sadly, using tablets like iPads, Galaxy Tabs and Surface are hampering the development of these skills and it is important they use real computers when possible.

To help you develop your typing skills, you can download Tuxtype for free:

Here are a few websites that will help develop your mouse skills:

Welcome back Primary School!

A great first week back for our Primary School and everyone is raring to go for the new school year!

With our newly redesigned ICT Suite and Library, this year promises to be the best ever!

Hunger Busters

In term 2 our Hillview students were involved in fund raising for the Hunger Busters campaign.   The students in each class who raised the most money, where invited to visit the local community where some of this money goes to buying food.  It was a very interesting trip and allowed our students to interact with the community and see how the food is prepared for the children.   Hunger Busters also helps provide food to the surrounding communities to ensure that the children have balanced meals both before and after school each day.

Well done to our students on helping the local community.

Helping to cook the meal!
